ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has expressed regret over the loss of Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) popularity and said that Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari should have prayed instead of celebrating.
Talking in Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath, Khawaja Asif said that the decision of early elections can be taken by keeping in view the situation. He continued the consensus with political parties regarding delimitation process would be evolved which will be in the interest of all stakeholders.
The minister said derailing the system was not in favour of any political party and that the elements who wanted to topple the democratic system would not be successful in their design.
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government was completing its constitutional tenure with success despite facing number of challenges started in 2014, he added.
